During the week of 23.01.2022 – 29.01.2022, the representative of APD Club Buzau participated in an activity that took place in Portugal, the city of Agueda, at the invitation launched by the Scientific Association.
The action carried out in the above mentioned week aimed at bringing together a number of 24 representatives of some associations from 11 European countries, in order to build a partnership for future projects. The event was held under the name KApacitating 2Youth and was part of the Capacitation Empowerment Youth Democracy, KA2 project.
The location where all the action took place was the Centro de Juventude de Agueda.
On the first day, he met the host team composed of the following people: Daniela Costa, Ana Moutas, Ana Teles, Ana Mendes and Daniela Martins. On the same day, he met the representatives of the other organizations present. Together, they established the role that each participant considers to have in this meeting, as well as a list of the expectations of each participant in this event.
Together, the participants drew up a “Social Contract” through which they established the unanimously accepted rules for holding this week’s meetings.
The next step was to find a list of tasks to accomplish. Each participant consulted the list and chose to solve the task that seemed most appropriate, based on the knowledge and experience they had. In some cases, teams have been set up to help solve the tasks on the list received from the organizers.
The task of the representative of APD Club Buzau was to draw something that would show the European priorities and he chose to illustrate in some sketches “Equal opportunities”; “Access to information”; “Social inclusion”. Each participant solved their tasks both individually and within the team, and in the end, they were able to reflect and conclude how important it is for each partner to know each other very well when choosing to solve a certain task.
The next day, posters with information about the organization were made to present the organizations of which it was a part. The posters helped them to present data about the identity of the association, the logo, the name of the organization, the values promoted by the organization and the main field in which the organization carries out its activities. Following the elaboration and presentation of these posters, the representative of APD Club Buzau together with the other participants had the opportunity to present in detail the activity of the organizations, to ask questions to the other participants or to answer the questions received regarding the activity of their own organizations.
On the third day, together with Jose Antonio Diaz from Proacting Associacao, he identified what is expected and how to get what you want and for what purpose. It was defined what KA2 means, it was established that it involves cooperation between organizations and institutions based on a cooperative partnership. The priorities to which an Erasmus project must respond were mentioned, after which teams of 4-5 members were set up to work on building a project outline in each field:
- Inclusion and diversity
- Digital transformation
- Environmental and fight against climate change
- Democratic and civic participation
We worked in a team with representatives of organizations from Austria, Slovenia, Greece and Lithuania on a project on permaculture, a project that tried to combine civic and environmental issues.
Each team presented the project idea, and the other participants were able to intervene with suggestions, ideas or asked questions to clarify certain issues that were not presented clearly enough.
On the fourth day, the so-called “Elevator pitch” was achieved. The participants presented the problem that aroused their interest, the data currently known about the problem, identified what skills and competencies are needed to solve the problem, what are the objectives of the desired action to be carried out in the future project, establishing the impact of project implementation, presentation the values promoted by this project but also the motivation that was the basis for choosing the project theme.
On the last day, the representative of APD Club Buzau participated in a meeting with representatives of other organizations in Portugal but also with representatives of the municipality, and the teams had the opportunity to present their project ideas, answered questions and were able to have the first feedback by their projects from people with experience in running projects.
