The purpose of the Pro Democracy Association Club Buzau is to strengthen democracy at the county, national, international level, by stimulating civic participation. As a working principle, APD Buzau does not promote any kind of political ideology, party, candidate, political party or coalition in their activities.

The principles that the Association respects in carrying out projects and activities are:

• Combating discrimination of any kind and respecting human rights;
• Promoting tolerance, multiculturalism, respect, legality, non-discrimination, volunteering, solidarity, competence, transparency

In order to achieve its objectives, APD Club Buzău mainly carries out, but is not limited to, the following activities:

• Facilitating access to education and the labor market for vulnerable groups (unemployed, low-income or low-income people, jobseekers, women over 45 with social inclusion issues – rural residents, Roma) through activities mentoring;
• Organizing trainings, seminars, workshops for non-formal adult education and promoting European values;
• Promoting the entrepreneurial culture and improving the quality and productivity of work through tutoring activities;
• Facilitating the long-term integration of young people and workers into the labor market;
• Developing a modern, flexible and inclusive labor market;
• Promoting the (re) insertion of inactive people on the labor market, including in rural areas;
• Improving public employment services;
• Unlocking the potential of information and communication technology (ICT) and its application in the public sector (administration) and the private sector (businesses, citizens);
• Developing digital skills and entrepreneurial skills and competences for young people and adults in vulnerable groups;
• Organizes training courses, MOOC courses, for people belonging to vulnerable groups in the fields of: communication, business administration (management, human resources, marketing), management for personal and professional development and tourism;
• Informs citizens about issues of public interest;
• Informs and educates voters (students, youth and adults) about the conduct of electoral processes;
• Monitors electoral processes;
• Organizes meetings between citizens and representatives of public authorities;
• Organizes debates and opinion polls on issues of public interest;
• Develops programs in partnership with public authorities and other civic organizations, public and private;
• Ensures the active involvement of citizens in the elaboration of public decisions and policies;
• Contributes to the improvement of the legislative framework;
• Carries out activities aimed at protecting the environment, implementing environmentally friendly consumption behavior, developing the concept of “circular economy” among citizens of Buzau County
• Increasing the population’s access to health services by promoting health, informing and educating citizens about health;
• Increasing energy efficiency and sustainable development of the energy system, by promoting renewable energy sources;
• Promoting the quality of the initial and continuing vocational education and training system, including higher education and research;

APD Buzau financing is made from contributions, donations, sponsorships, sources attracted from projects from various internal or external financiers.
